TEHRAN – A total of 87,000 tons of various steel and aluminum products valued at 546.5 billion rials was traded at Tehran Metal Exchange (TME) on Monday, December 25.

The steel group witnessed 14 rounds of transactions at 84,880 tons, traded in forward purchase for over 478 billion rials, assuming 97.56% and 87.48% of the day in terms of weight and value respectively.

Only cash exchange of 2,120 tons of various aluminum ingots, held in eight rounds, took place for the day at 68.5 billion rials, keeping 2.44% and 12.52% of the market in weight and value.

The day took note of 113,000 tons of demand versus 112,040 tons supply.

No transaction was reported in the zinc and copper group of metals. ML/RA END MNA
